Linotype: The Film
Thursday, May 3 – 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- This film tells the surprisingly emotional story of the people connected to the Linotype and how it impacted the world: called the "Eighth Wonder of the World" by Thomas Edison, the Linotype revolutionized printing and society. This special evening includes Linotype demonstrations, networking, light refreshments, and a discussion period, in addition to the film screening.

Baltimore: City of Firsts
Sunday, May 6 – 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Did you know Baltimore was home to the first elevator patent, first refrigerator, and first building to be lighted with gas? Learn the fascinating history of other Baltimore achievements, presented local scholar Wayne Schaumburg.

Family Night
Thursday, May 10 - 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Wondering what to do in that "witching hour" before dinner? Bring the family to BMI for an evening of tours and activities, crafts, a family-friendly movie, and more! This month's kids' craft: design your own mug.

Big Truck Day

BMI Farmers’ Market Opening Day
Saturday, May 19 – 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Celebrate the first weekly farmers’ market of the season! Shop for fresh local produce, dairy, meats, and other foods, as well as beautiful artisan handcrafts. We have special activities, demonstrations and more planned for this day, so be sure to come by!
