At the Baltimore Museum of Industry, we’re ready for even the youngest visitors. Our galleries feature authentic historic artifacts and colorful wooden boxes marked PLEASE TOUCH so children of all ages can enjoy hands-on learning, exploration, and fun.

We invite visitors to explore the history of industrial baking, steel manufacturing, a 1920s pharmacy, a mid-century gas station, and more by engaging in the power of play. Take the 1953 Packard for a spin, tap your name out on a telegraph machine, and consider how different telephones looked just a generation ago.  Open the play boxes in the machine shop to find an array of tools to choose from, and look for the colorful vegetables in the box located in the corner store.

Help preserve Baltimore’s industrial legacy for generations to come and only touch artifacts that are marked PLEASE TOUCH.  Thank you!

Strollers and child carriers are welcome.  The museum is all on one level, and offers free on-site parking for visitors.

There is no food or drink available for sale onsite.
