Named for Alonzo Decker, a co-founder of Black + Decker, this gallery overlooks the beauty of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and features icons of local innovation: Head skis, Sweetheart straws, and Decker’s own cordless drill. Flanked by neon signs, a circa 1910 moving van, and a coal-powered steamroller, visitors can better understand the role Baltimore played in WWII. A scale-model of the 1937 Mini-Mariner flying boat bomber, restored by some of the same Baltimore-area workers that built it, is suspended from the ceiling.
